Foofie-People like Obama(who, one must not forget, had a Muslim father, a Muslim stepfather and still has Muslim relatives in Kenya who he visited when he was a US Senator) are selling out the Israelis to the Muslims.

Radical Muslims want to destroy Israel. The West did not listen when Adolf Hitler made threats. Now, they are not listening to the Iranian fanatics.

Ahmadinejad says Israel will soon disappear
Jun 2, 2008

TEHRAN (AFP) " Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad predicted on Monday that Muslims would uproot "satanic powers" and repeated his controversial belief that Israel will soon disappear, the Mehr news agency reported.

"I must announce that the Zionist regime (Israel), with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder, invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased from the geographical scene," Ahmadinejad said.

"Today, the time for the fall of the satanic power of the United States has come and the countdown to the annihilation of the emperor of power and wealth has started."

The White House quickly dismissed Ahmadinejad's latest broadside against Israel and accused him of having "total disregard" for the Iranian people's hopes and needs.

Since taking the presidency in August 2005, the Iranian president has repeatedly provoked international outrage by predicting Israel is doomed to disappear.

"I tell you that with the unity and awareness of all the Islamic countries all the satanic powers will soon be destroyed," he said to a group of foreign visitors ahead of the 19th anniversary of the death of revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Ahmadinejad also again expressed his apocalyptic vision that tyranny in the world be abolished by the return to earth of the Mahdi, the 12th imam of Shiite Islam, alongside great religious figures including Jesus Christ.

"With the appearance of the promised saviour... and his companions such as Jesus Christ, tyranny will be soon be eradicated in the world."

Ahmadinejad has always been a devotee of the Mahdi, who Shiites believe disappeared more than a thousand years ago and who will return one day to usher in a new era of peace and harmony.

His emphasis on the Mahdi has been a cause of controversy inside Iran with critics saying he would be better solving bread-and-butter domestic problems rather than talking about Iran's divine responsibility.

@panzade,

That has quite worn out my scrolling finger.

Don't lose sight of the fact (as many have) that the original UN declaration was for there to be "a Jewish state in Palestine", a home for the jews in Palestine.

Palestine is and was an entity. It will flourish again when the violence stops. The violence will stop when the Israeli theft stops.

Theft? Theft? Do you have a link?

********************************************************************

In most civilized countries, the "charge" of theft is adjudicated. Murder is not the moral equivalance of theft.

The table below shows the savage Palestinian reaction to the "alleged" theft.

Summary

Rockets and Mortars Launched from Gaza Jan-Dec '08 [6] Type Jan Feb Mar Apr May June Jul Aug Sept Oct Nov Dec

@genoves,

This kind of thinking is the cause of the problem. It's only when you face up to the facts that progress can be made. Equivocation and further dissembling won't help.

@McTag,
Try this one, McTag--Attempted Murder--pure and simple---

January 15, 2008-January 18, 2008
Twenty-eight rockets hit the western Negev on January 15. One scored a direct hit on a home, wounding five people, including Lior Ben-Shimol, age 5, from Sderot, and a 19-year-old boy who was lightly injured from shrapnel. On January 15, terror emanating from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip sharply escalated. The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that than 100 rockets and mortars were fired from Gaza on the Israeli cities of Sderot and Ashkelon on January 15. More than 120 Qassam rockets and 65 mortars were fired towards the Western Negev, in a 72-hour period. The attacks injured more than eight Israelis, and two of the rockets struck near a kindergarten, which was full of children at the time of the attack.

Yes yes yes. The Palestiniand hate the Israelis, and attack them if they can.

Why is that, do you think?

Because the Palestineans dreamt up a national identity, without ever having had one. It is possible they got tired of being included in pejorative terms for those that were just sand squatters at best? Their being Moslem relates likely to a distant ancestor being converted by the old "offer they can't refuse." If I am not mistaken, the Middle East, by all rights should be majority Christian.

Giving the Pals a state would not magically transform them. They would continue to demand the so-called right of return for millions of Pals to Israel, which would result in Israel's demise.

The Pals had their own land prior to the '67 war, and never tried to develop a state. Israelis did not not set foot on that land. The Pals did not seek to set up a country, but held out for the destruction of Israel, as they do now. They mounted hundreds of attacks on Israel, which attacks continue to the present.

One would have to be ignorant and biased to not see this.

I can understand that some deny the Palestinians an own territory - but that they have no national identity, not to speak of "dreaming of it"?

The Middle East was under the hegemony of the Ottoman Empire. Islam ruled the area without national identities. Not like Europe where "principalities" were merged to become nation states (i.e., Bismarck).

Jews had a national identity there. The evidence is the "Wailing Wall," as the last remnant of the Second Temple.

Even the grand history of Egypt was not under the Arabs. Many accuse Israel of stealing land. Au contraire. The Arabians stole the Middle East and North Africa. The entire area should be Christian, not Moslem. Saint Paul converted so many to Christianity, and then it became Moslem land? And, Lebanon was once a country with a sizable Christian community. They left, since all that land is supposed to be Moslem land according to some.

"Palestineans" are just late comers to nationalism. Funny though that many westerners that consider themselves "citizens of the world" do back the Palestineans nationalistic aspirations. Sort of odd, would you not say? Perhaps, it is not that odd, if one realizes that many would like any excuse to disenfranchise Jews from a viable national homeland!

This is the major issue that the Israel's apologists seems to ignore. Taking over Palestinian lands is the justification for the violence and terrorist activity against those who are stealing their lands.

If and when the Israelis admit this, and start returning stolen lands, the violence "may" stop. However, Jews still live under the holocaust that happened over half century ago, and they must also realize that the Palestinians living under apartheid now will also have bad memories about their occupation and lost property and freedoms.

Because they know that the Israelis do not have the moral gumption to annihilate all of the Palestineans in retaliation. That is what some other nations would do. Being too civilized can be an albatross in war.
