a/t "the age"
...FIDGETING IS GOOD EXERCISE !...
the article states :
"THE simple activities of life, such as washing dishes, walking to the car or even fidgeting, may help older people live longer, according to a study that is the first to measure the energy used for these tasks and its effect on longevity."
seems that since i have no trouble figeting plenty , i get all the exercise i need .

Does the study indicate how many of the fidgeting people were divorced by their frazzled spouses?
I can't figure out what a senior is.... I'm old enough to join the AARP... since I GIVE them money.... but not old enough for the senior discount at Golden Corral....
How do you think I feel. I get the discount without even asking!
"but not old enough for the senior discount at Golden Corral.... "
did you forget your cane when you walked in

damn... I believe I'll go buy a cheap one and keep it in the back seat for just such occasions
you might consider a hollow cane , it can be used for storing "refreshments" - they are quite popular at the quebec winter carnival .

Several years ago, I checked into a motel on a trip to Florida. It wasn't until I had slipped into bed that I realized that the sullen 16 year old at the front desk had asked, " What should I put down, AARP or AAA?". No nice question wondering if I qualified for AARP, just the typical "Yeah, whatever" attitude. Damn whippersnapper.
