The New York Times doesn' say anymore yet, maybe an NPR stream will tell me more.
I just was on the phone with blatham, who told me that he and Lola are okay, and that the explosion was on 62nd and Madison.
Yikes. Keep us posted, Thomas. Hmmmm. Is that where all the advertising originates?
Thanks for the alert, Thomas.
Thanks for those radio stream links, Phoenix. Very informative.
They just said the explosion had nothing to do with terrorism. I guess I'd been too jumpy when I started this thread. I got kind of nervous when I heard "building explodes and collapses in New York".
I'm guessing gas leak....
One of the reporters on the scene said that they were going to turn off the gas in the area, "just in case".

Understandable.
Thanks for the info though, I learned about it here (and nice of you to check on Bernie and Lola).
Thanks, Phoenix. Well, I just wondered about any connection. Although it may not be linked to terrorists, it is still a horrible, horrible situation.
Seems it may have been a doctor who's office (and possibly residence) was in the building decided to commit suicide, apparently by opening a gas valve. The doctor is alive, critically injured.
