Sully is my avatar from "Monsters, Inc." I wouldn't actually call it a children's movie -- it was successful because it was enjoyed by adults as well as children. Much like the old "Rocky and Bullwinkle."
(The movie version being a faded representation of the original series).

Who Will Cry for the Little Boy?
Who will cry for the little boy?
Lost and all alone.
Who will cry for the little boy?
Abandoned without his own?

Who will cry for the little boy?
He cried himself to sleep.
Who will cry for the little boy?
He never had for keeps.

Who will cry for the little boy?
He walked the burning sand.
Who will cry for the little boy?
The boy inside the man.

Who will cry for the little boy?
Who knows well hurt and pain.
Who will cry for the little boy?
He died again and again.

Who will cry for the little boy?
A good boy he tried to be.
Who will cry for the little boy?
Who cries inside of me?

**********WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS ****************

Living a bit towards the edge of civilisation as I am, it took a while for Antwone Fisher to reach the local video store and to attract my attention, since I couldn't read the Finnish title I assumed it would be another boxing film or sth like it.

All the greater was my pleasant surprise when I finally saw it (After all, even a boxing film is worthwhile if it has Denzell Washington; I remember him well in Hurricane). It is the first US film in ages to move me to tears (although The Wool Cap came close) with its wonderful catharsis in the room full of family and then literally opening the door to a past with ancestors and be welcomed to it that really blew me away. I definitely have to see it again (though, not for the teary-eye effect). The regular guy who goes through life doing the right thing is all too seldom a hero in films. We are bombarded with people who do extraordinary things (leading to such monstrosities as reality TV's freak shows), but all too seldom do we celebrate the man (or woman) who just lives his life without hurting anyone, takes care of his family without asking for anything and dies without making headlines. Those people who do the right thing day in day out are real heroes and they are all around us.
