"After a quick march on vans".

talking about an airborne division, does that mean that the division is being transported by vans?

I don't know, but I would like to find out. Seems like a misprint or a mistake to me (WWII- Vannes?)

Was it a misprint? Vannes is a place near St Nazaire in Brittany.

i can't check if it's a mistake. it is the script of a video game. but if it's a misprint, it doesn't come from me.

Well that's interesting. Any clues on the place or timing? I mean, are we in France, 1944-ish?
