In this case Ken got off easy. His record can now be expunged because he expired. This is important because of the millions he stashed away . Had he lived, the govt would have less trubble attaching his property

I really would have loved for him to serve a nice long remaining life in prison. maybe 20 + years. Then, at 87, hey turn him loose with 100$ and a new suit. Leaving the door of the prison and getting into his car there to limo him home, he then dropped dead.

well, looks like the Finnster blew your cover. His deft hand at manipulating the language exposed you for the pinko **** you are.

What was that all about? I think Finn and McGruff require you to buy into an entire package. If your pro death penalty and dont mind guns then you cant be a liberal? Holy ****-youre even a Christian. Well have to have you drummed out of the organization.

I'm waiting on an autopsy.

I think it was induced so his family would keep the goods.

Full disclosure: I'm not glad he died.

I was thinking he induced it out of shame for leaving his family in a bad situation, and partially fear of prison, but mostly humiliation.

I wouldn't have thought so, until someone here said they'd be in better shape (he'd get an expungment) because of his death.

Hey stupe.... head back a few posts... I DO support capital punishment....
you just got finished quoting the post in which I said so....

As for making a distinction between Ken Lay and a retarded human being... duh!!!!!

It is a well known fact on these boards that I have a mentally handicapped son.... he has impulse control problems but he knows right from wrong in most instances as long as they are not too nuanced. Were he to kill someone and get the death penalty it would break my heart... but I would understand it.

But would you support it,even if it was your son?

If a jury decided he deserved death for his crimes, would you support it because you support capitol punishment?

Depends. If he killed someone in a situation where he just woke up grumpy and offed someone because he was pissed off I would grit my teeth and go along. If it were a situation where he was forced to make a judgement call beyond his intellectual capabilities I would fight it tooth and nail if I could. Either way it would break my heart. I already said this in my first post, but I am willing to change the semantics around until you have something to go UH HUH !! about, if that's the game you want to play, just don't take too long.

If you are trying to corner me Mr. Clever guy, please remember that most criminals are NOT mentally handicapped and have their full facilities.

Well, that explains your political opinions. Keep that vienna sausage wrapped up and try again.

Anyhoo, it was heart disease. I've just heard of people in his position suiciding to save their family a worse situation. But, according to the autopsy, not him.

(also posted elsewhere) Is there any credence given in the States to the rumour that Ken Lay did not die, but his death was staged to allow him to escape censure and imprisonment?

Any links?
