Solving the European Union problem

We all know that citizens of the EU Member States have a lot of hesitations about further expansion of the EU. They feel insecure and anxious. Wont the burden be too much, the centrifugal forces too strong? Therefore, many have said EU expansion should stop; that, say, Bulgaria or Turkey should not be let in.

That's obviously unfair, especially to the Bulgarians, who have put so much work into meeting EU accession standards.

I therefore propose a whole new solution, an inventive solution that nobody thought of yet, and that yet is simple.

We should adopt the Saturday-night clubbing rule. One in - one out. For every new member state that joins, an existing one should be thrown out.

Tonight, I suggest that Portugal would make a particularly appropriate candidate for throwing out in exchange for, say, Bulgaria.

I am counting in particular on the support of the British on this count.

What do you think?

You realize that it will severely effect the amount of cork available in England if we follow through with this. On the other, you shall be drowning in yogurt.

I think we should put EUFA in charge of Europe.

They are a unifying force and they can still remember how to handle women.

How to handle women????
They know how to do that?

Oh. You mean, have nothing to do with them.

Shucks, that will be lonely.

As a matter of fact Britain's supermarkets are already leading the fight against the Portuguese corkers

I don't know. I think the producers of cork had better start promoting the use of bulletin boards and pith helmets.
