Hello, I have to do a journal entry on a subordinate group and I chose African Americans I need help I have to make up stuff like I belonged to this group and then do the consequences like segregation or assimilation and then creation migration, and annexation of the group. I have no clue what to write I am not creative at all. I need to find some good websites, and can't find any about african americans and where it originated. Thanks
Go to Google or Dogpile and type:
History of Slavery in America
History of Jim Crow and Segregation
History of Equal Rights in the 1960's
Famous Black Americans
or the writings of Martin Luther King Jr., Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, EB Dubois, Malcolm X.
This has less to do with creativity as it does with knowing how to do research. As any writer will tell you - you can only write about what you know. By the way , some of these key phrases might bring up racist websites. I assume you are smart enough to tell the good from the bad.
