There is a sentence:They promised to see to it that the nuclear power station would be safe.
The phrase:"see to it that"=?"see to sth".I look them up in the dictionary,and they have different meanings,but my classmates say they are same.
Its ok i"ll see to this post.
I will take whatever action is necessary to complete this task.
I feel that this is the intention of the sentence about the neuclear power station.
to "see to something" generally means take whatever action is necessary.
In my opinion the two are the same.
