HOW to understand this sentence "His bark is worse than his bite."? Thank you for your help! Razz

It means that some one makes alot of noise - in other words - he appears scary because he is all talk, however, when it comes down to it - he is of no threat.

Similar to say a dog that barks very threateningly. He seems like he would bite you, but when you approach him he is as friendly as can be. He sounds mean, but really isn't.
