In human terms,even as you watch a second tick away,it is gone.What do "in human term" and "second" mean? Thank you.

In human terms means "from the perspective of humans," more or less.

A second is 1/60th of a minute.

"As you watch seconds tick away" Means as you watch time pass.

Second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour.
