To bump into is

1. when you walk into something unexpectedly.

For example, it's really dark outside. You're walking home when, ouch! You walk into something, which happens to be a tree. You could say, "Oh man, I just bumped into a tree!"

2. "to bump into" can also mean seeing someone unexpectedly.

For example, you are going to the store when you see an old friend- you haven't seen him forever! You go over to talk to him, saying how surprised you are to see him. You could say, "Wow, it's nice that I bumped into you!"

Hah, my examples are really lame, but yeah. That's the best I can explain it. Hopefully this works for you!
