Could you tell me what "only" means in the sentence "When i think of home ,i think of my street,only i see it as it was before"? Thank you .

It means "except that..." or "but in a specific way, namely..."

This sentence is saying "When I think of home, I think my street, but not the way the street looks now; rather, I think of it the way it was before."
