In the sentence "But if he focuses on commercial work,he will be accused of dumbing down", what is meaning of dumbing of "dumb down"?Thank you .

v. (Slang) simplify complex information to make it more easily understandable, lower the intellectual level of something (such as a book)

• dumbed down

adj. (Slang) simplified, made more understandable through the removal or simplification of complex material
