There is a sentence:They promised to see to it that the nuclear power station would be safe.
The phrase:"see to it that"=?"see to something ".I look them up in the dictionary,and they have different meanings,but my classmates say they are same.
It does basically mean the same thing.
To see to it in this sentance means that the person who is saying " I will see to it" is taking responsibility for getting the job done.
