In the sentence, "Having worked as a teacher ,a translator and an education official in Macao,Lei took his current post in 1999,"can we simply use one "a"? I was told if one person carries several titles. we can simply use one "a".Am I right?

Yes, you can leave out all the a's and an's except for the first. So, the sentence can be written, "Having worked as a teacher, translator and education official in Macao, Lei took his current post in 1999." Also, please notice that each comma should be followed by a space.
