what does "have a wolf in the stomach"? I think it must has a special meaning.Thank you!

I have never heard the expression. "wolf in the stomach". I have heard "hungry like a wolf". That probably refers to the fact that the wolf is a voracious predator. I would expect (although I am not sure) that "having a wolf in the stomach" means that the person is very hungry. In any case, it is a very awkward phrase. I would not use it.

Wolves carry food in their stomach for the babies, when they reach the den they regurgitate for the pups to eat. I wonder is this has something to do with the question?
