luxiaoli, please do not use the same title for your questions ("a chinese girl").
We do not know it is a new question because the title is always the same.

Instead of "a chinese girl" title the thread:
What does it mean: "Turning over a new leaf"?

"Turning over a new leaf " means a person is going to change the way the act. I

Example: When I first got to the university I did not study. This year I am going to turn over a new leaf and be a good student.
