And, of course, unless you actually use the very words I do, you didn't say it.

I'll let you know when I have unlocked the hidden meaning of this cryptic message.

I mean that you seem to think that if you didn't use the very words I use to describe your assertion, then I am incorrect, even when you said essentially the same thing.

Let me spell it out for you. You said that we owned the country and they were subordinate to us. How is this possible when they have free elections?

Free elections mean nothing in a state that is occupied by a foreign army. If the Iraqi parliament voted today to expel the American troops, do you think that they would leave?

I think that if that happened, the President would think hard and long on whether to go, to try to negotiate for more time, or to refuse. However, your assertion was very specific and very extreme. You asserted that this new government is a US puppet. I'd like to know how you think we are controlling what laws get passed there.

I never said that the Iraq was a puppet state, I said it was a vassal state. It's not that the Iraqi government is controlled by the US, it's that the Iraqi government is largely inconsequential as long as Iraq is occupied by a foreign army.

I want to marry you and have your baby.

Well, I must admit that's a much better offer than the one I recently got to have an abortion in Northern Ireland. Thanks, blatham!

Thanks kindly for pointing me to that post. I would surely have missed it otherwise and my day would have been far duller for the lack of it.
