Hello:
I have some trouble using 'report' ,'publish', 'print', and 'announce'.Can I say 'newspaper reports that.'

yes you can use the phrase in that manner.

A newspaper reports that cumtwyd is very good at English.

It is good to "cite" the artical. That means to give the name of the newspaper, the name of the author and the date the artical appears.

"Publish" really means "to print"...... The newspaper will publish a report.....

"print" can have several meanings.

1. The small letters on a page which are usually made on a printing press is "print".

2. The process of making the page by machine. We are going to print a book.

"Announce" usually means that someone has said something to a large audiance or group. An announcment was made by the teacher.


A "report" is a set of documented facts.
