In the US many people make a lot of money by trying to sell the latest "miracle diet". What advertisers are doing by calling it a "miracle" is giving the diet unrealistic claims.

There is no such thing as a miracle diet. It is an advertising slogan. What the people are doing is giving false hope to people.
