I've got the news from the"21th Century".Shanghai's metro and light-rail canine patrol was established on Monday with a team of 30 sniffer dogs and their handlers.I think the team is the first of its kind in China. Can you say something about the advantage and disadvantage ?
what do the dogs look (sniff) for?
Dogs dont care what you look like.
Police dogs do not act on their own initiative, but obey the orders of their handlers.
If the handlers are not competent, the behavior of the dogs can be erratic and even dangerous. This is particularly true when dogs are used for crowd control.
"Sniffer" dogs have been trained to identifiy explosives, drugs and other contraband by smell. A dog's nose is much more efficient than a human nose.
Whereas it is an advantage that dogs don't care what you look like, this is more than compensated for by the fact that they don't care where or when they pee and poop.
