Once I read a story,I saw a word "doom",and "meet one's doom",I don't
know their meaning.Can you help me?Thank you!

Doom may mean destruction, but it does not necessarily always mean destruction. Doom in the sentence you provided simply means fate. The person referred to may be fated to destruction, but also may be fated to something else.
