What is the meaning of "scroll-work", and how to use this word !

Scrollwork refers to a type of ornamental carpentry, which involves skilled wood carving.

Scrollwork can also refer to the ornamental borders used in calligraphy. It can also refer to fine embroidery used as ornament.

Since your teacher has told you to use the computer, he/she might be referring to moving the page up or down on your computer screen(scrolling).
