Any one want to try to explain why?
No, i wouldn't like to attempt to explain prepositions. In any language i've ever studied, the use of prepositions, especially in conjunction with particular verbs, as an idiomatic thing, and one which is intuitive to a native-speaker. Everybody else just has to learn them.
