This is not a saying usually used in the English language.
A similar saying that could mean the same thing is "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"
Imagine you are catching birds to eat if you have caught one bird and see two more in the bushes will you let the one go so that you might be able to catch the two. what if the two get away from you. then you will have no birds at all.
What your sentance means is that ....if you have a good job dont quit your job even if you think another job will be better or bring more money until you know for sure it you have the second job and that it will be a better job.
