I'm confused by a word"sino-German",who can help me?

when I read a pessage in a newspaper,I came across a sentance:
"Sino-German efforts ensure cleaner future" but I don't know what does that mean,who can help me?

Sino=Chinese.

Therefore Sino German means a joint Chinese and German effort.
