Here's a sentence:It took me a while to adapt to the new job.My question is,"adapt"is a vt,we should add a noun or pronoun ,etc.Here,the use of "adapt to " is right ?Why?

The sentence is fine as it is and doesn't need any modifications. The verb is actually "took"; "it took me" is similar in meaning to "I spent".

The sentence is correct. In the sentence shown, your are adapting yourself even though the pronoun is not shown. Without the "to" it would imply that you are changing the job to suit you instead of adjusting yourself to do the job.
