How to explain "You have too much catching up to do to waste a minute of a walking hour feeling sorry for yourself.:

I have corrected your sentence. It wants the word "waking" not "walking." It means that some has to accomplish a great deal (catch-up) that they have already missed, and cannot afford to waste any time (waking hours) when he or she has so much "catching up" to do. "Catch up" often means that others have progressed farther than you have, and that you will have to work harder to learn everything which everyone else has already learned.
