It can be called hand phone.
It IS a small phone ment to fit in your hand.

Mobile has been the basic term for it because you can literally port it any where.
With that being the meaning, it has been the term most used.

It is also called portable phone ( in some places) , digital phone, and cell phone.

All diffrent names for the same type of phone.
