My english is not very good and my english teacher tell us something I can't listen to know it. For example:put somebody on one's honor.
please tell me .thanks for your help!

It means you are being trusted to be honest, even if no one is there to watch you.

Honor in a person is doing the right thing, living by right principles, for the sake of doing the right thing. It's not doing the right thing just so other will see how good your are.

To honor another person, means to give repect to them.

To honor a debt, means you will repay it.

If you say to someone..."on my honor, I will do it" That means you absoultely will.

Honor is the most important thing a person can have.
