He has to work around the clock to finish his paper.
Would you tell me how to understand this sentence? Confused

"Around the clock" is an expression (prepositional phrase used as an adverb) meaning nearly constantly (encompassing many, if not all, hours).

A less formal expression is "24/7" meaning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
