As we know ,english is very popular with Chinese.Many many people

want to study english,then they can have chance to go abroad and

improve themselves.what i want to know is :Does American people like

studying Chinese,and is it popular in America,how do you study it?

Chinese is rarely studied in the US. The most popular languages to study are Spanish, French and German. We just assume the Chinese will all speak English eventually.

Really?but the newspaper says that America is lack of chinese teachers,

and it very popular with the people. Do you think it very difficult to study?

The state owned newspapers in China are probably not going to be your most reliable source of news for anything American. Wink

But sorry I don't think their is a high demand or intrest in Chinese, It makes the most sense for spanish and french as our closest neighbors, Canada and Mehico but there are not enough Chinese anything to really make it worth while.

varies case-by-case. how bout yourself? (i was using base as both noun & adjective--i wonder if anyone considered it was meant as an adjective in the original video game translation?)
