Big match about to start USA vs Italy, any predictions ?

4-0 to Italy is my guess

I say 3-0 Italy. We have a not-bad defense, when it shows up to play.

Well done USA, down to 9 men and still pulled off a draw, there maybe hope yet, play like that again and you could get through

So, this is how the team plays when it decides to actually show up. With the Czech loss and the US draw, every team in this group has a chance to advance to the second round.

Well done USA. A draw and a moral victory. You played well and in the spirit of the game. The elbow to McBride's face made me feel sick and ashamed to be a European. Forgotten the guy's name but it was right in front of Sepp Blatter, who might ban the offender for the rest of the tournament, with luck.

Just as a matter of interest: when (date/time) did you watch that?

The Italians looked inefficient and awkward. They simply had a bad day. Imagine a team that scores both goals and comes up with a tie. I detest dirty play and the whole game was marred by bad behaviour.

One thing that impressed me a lot is the Nike commercial. It is in several stages.
.
Two ragamuffins in a poor town are each choosing an imaginary team to play futebol. They know their superstars and their fantasy conjures up two incredible teams. The little one even calls Beckenbauer and there he is, young and fit.
.
That ad is priceless; the beer ad only made me go to the loo.

We only get two (very, very short) commercials from our sponsors here (McD and T-Com).

Too bad, Walter, this ad story in several parts is all in Portuguese and really funny and heart warming.
.
Here is an ad about Ronaldo, put out by Nike.

They are playing Playstation's Pro-evolution Soccer 5 then. arn't they?!

A wonderful wonder of technology.

So, as far as I can make out, if the USA beat Ghana [which is highly possible given the gritty show they put up against the Italians] and Italy beat the Czech Rubulic [also not outside the realms of possibility] then you guys are through to the last 16.

Just got a feeling it's your year. Don't know why!
