You got a new car every year for the last three years. Are the roads
in Colombia that bad?

1970 Ford Maverick (probably still running)
1976 Ford Thunderbird - what a tank
1980 Mazda RX-7 - totalled
1984 BMW 325e (still running)
1987 Acura Integra (still running, only 43K miles)
1996 Chrysler Town & Country - the family vehicle
2002 Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4
2007 Saturn Vue AWD

Updated from earlier list. A change in location requires a change in vehicle type. I currently have four cars on the list, the BMW, Chrysler, Jeep, and Saturn. I keep only three insured and one stored, currently the VUE is garaged to keep the mileage down in summer.

Calamity yes they are pretty bad but the change of Mazdas was because the little 2200 couldn´t climb our steep road with a load. Then the Vitara was traded for the much cushier Mitsubishi. Then a domestic change that left me with the Mazda 2600 which barely carries two passangers plus the driver. Hence the new Nissan four door which holds five comfortably.

'76 Toyota Corona station wagon (rolled it, scrap). Name: Tinkerbell.
'79 Datsun "King Cab" pickup (replaced head with a '71 or '72, no catalytic converter, big polluter, didn't go with me when leaving California). Name: Iggy.
'96 Jeep Cherokee Sport (actually the wife's lease when I met her, but it went with us through moves to 2 different states; great box-on-wheels, lucky to have it in the snowy Chicago winter of '98-'99). Name: Felton.
'99 Toyota Rav-4 (actually finished out the lease for sister-in-law in NYC -- she paid the monthly but couldn't afford to park it -- great deal!). Name: Missy Moo.
'90 Toyota Camry -- got it with high miles for a steal from a Scots couple who couldn't get their visa renewed, engine compartment fire totalled it, insurance paid out $1,000 more than we paid for it. Name: Lurch.
'84 Buick Park Avenue -- total beater, loved the car, sold it to some hayseed who'd just moved to Seattle from Indiana about had an orgasm over the engine (rebuilt a couple of years before we got it). Name: Elwood.
'99 or '98 Honda Civic hatchback -- don't remember the year, but it was the last year they made the hatchback, got it used, sold it in WI for more than was left on the payments (bought lightly used in WA). Name: Alberta.
'89 Toyota Camry -- inherited from wife's grandmother. Very low miles. Sold to a grateful Chicago cop at a mutually beneficial price. Name: Yoshimi.
'05 Saturn Vue -- not a bad box-on-wheels, good all-purpose, but recently had problems with the front suspension. Luckily still under warranty, but you wonder what's coming... Name: Giff.
