I don't remember the model year, but here's my list: Ford, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Mazda, Cadillac, Toyota, Toyota, and a Lexus. All were new except for the Ford that I bought when I was in the US Air Force stationed at Walker AFB in New Mexico back in the late fifties. Wink c.i.

A (tight-fisted) old German friend of mine bought his girlfriend a used Yugo. She wouldn't drive it so he toodled around town in it. He also had a stationary seventies Lincoln and a functioning eighties Izuzu Trooper. He'd shift that Trooper in to fourth at about eight miles an hour. I used to kid him: "Erwin you learned to drive in a tank didn't you?" He admitted it was true.

No Yugos?
Also, a few other cars made or sold in the USA that no one listed that I recollect.

Borgward (Isabella)
Crosley
Dyna-Panhard (2 cylinder opposed, front wheel drive)
Frasier (Hatchback)
Austin Healey (and a host of British cars)
Maco (Maaco?)
Isetta (two passenger bubble car)
NSU Prinz
Opel
Skoda

I guess it's age

BillyFalcon, my mother used to have an NSU Prinz. And we have a lot of Skodas in Germany these days. They are very nice cars now. And a lot cheaper than German cars.

1970 Ford Maverick (probably still running)
1976 Ford Thunderbird - what a tank
1980 Mazda RX-7 - totalled
1984 BMW 325e (still running)
1987 Acura Integra (still running, only 43K miles)
1996 Chrysler Town & Country - the family vehicle

Pretty short list. I'm looking at a new BMW 3-series.

In order of purchase

68 Buick Skylark 4 door-6 cyl. Did great parking lot dougnuts and smoke shows. You couldn't sit in the back because I had 2 huge home stereo speakers on the back seat. Got busted by the cops messin around in the back seat. Luckily the windows were so fogged up they couldn't see in until we got the clothes back on.

73 Chevy Nova 2 door-6cyl. Did great parking lot dougnuts and smoke shows. Had sex on the hood of this car.

72 Cadillac Eldorado-8 Cyl(455 CID) Biggest car I've ever seen. Beautiful car I didn't beat on. Bought it in 82 with 60,000 miles on it. Urinated out of the door while driving in a blinding snowstorm because if we had stopped we wouldn't have got going again.

70 Cutlass Supreme 442(Summer car) completely rebuilt. I bought this car in GA in 1984 with 70k orignal miles.

85 Toyota SR5 truck 4cyl. Bought brand new. The bed rotted out completely within 5 years despite having Rusty Jones. I swear Rusty Jones added the rust.

83 Pontiac Trans Am-8cyl-Boy does Pontiac make $hit car. Car had some balls but lots of electrical problems. Generally not a smooth riding car, similar to the old camaros.

83 Chevy 4x4 K10 Pickup. Bought this in 95 with 35k original miles.

2000 Chrysler Cirrus LXI 6 cyl I loved this car but drove it so much that I decided to trade it in before I got high mileage. I should've kept it.

2002 Mazda Protege LX 4cl-Traded the Chrysler for this. Nice little commuting car, but doesn't compare to the Chrysler.

As you can see i'am a car nut i love to own cars, and to change cars all the time. I;m starting to slow on my buying not that I'm in my mid 30's and have no place to store more than 3 at a time. I have never been a dealer but have just bought and sold alot of cars as they are my passion in life. The last two on the list I just bought today for a total of 81.00 and drove them both home to play with. Well have fun people, Jerry Smile

Cool! You've had some neat cars, like the Husky and Datsun 1600. You'd like it where I am. You could buy things like an Oltcit (Romanian Citroen) Lada Niva 4x4 or a fabricated in Colombia Renault Master (that thing barely qualifies as a car).

First I got a 74 model Kombi van.
Then a 76 model Kombi with an 18RGEU Celica motor in it. (Scary!!)
Then an 83 Holden Commodore V8. (Scary AND Fun!!)
Now I don't own one, just drive a company car.
Am thinking of buying a Nissan Skyline R33 but they are private imports in Australia so servicing is a hassle.
