In English-speaking countries , do people consider grammers important , take them serious and obey the grammer rules when speaking ?
People who expect to be taken seriously on any important subject take care to speak and write correctly.
violets- The word is GRAMMAR. I agree with Noddy. The problem is, with the rise of the internet, many young people have fallen into a sort of net "shorthand". That might be appropriate for text messaging on a cell phone, or for instant messaging, but, IMO, has no place in serious writing.
If someone writes in internet shorthand on A2K, I usually will not respond to the query.
