A wind instrument is a musical instrument in which the sound is produced by blowing into the instrument. But that is an imprecise term. Woodwinds refers to instruments which are blown into which have a reed to produce the sound. Obes and clarinets are examples of woodwinds. Instruments which are blown into but have no reeds, and are made of metal are usually referred to as "the horns," or "the brass," and include french horns, trumpets, cornets and saxophones.

You need to be more specific, but wind instruments usually refers to the woodwinds. Try to find a definition for woodwind.
