God can not lie not because he is mentally or physical or spiritually incable of lying but because GOd is good and perfect. God has no need to lie nor would there ever rise an occasion that he needed to lie. Therefor god does not lie cause he has nothing to hide nor does he hide. He has put forth his word, he has put forth his son who also never lied and lived a sinless life, and now all we have to do is believe on him.

God can not lie.
But that dont mean he is not capable of it, it's just that there will never be an occasion that GOd would need to lie or have to lie.

Regardless of the circumstances which lead to gods inability to be less than truthful, if he 'can not' for whatever reason, he is by definition not omnipotent.
If you are saying he can, but doesn't, that still leaves god capable of telling a lie, which leads down a slippery slope to the possibility of a deceiver god.
