What do you understand that phrase to mean? do you have similar phrases in your primary language? how would you translate them into English?

I agree. This is a phrase with a lot of meaning. Profound is a good way to describe it.

It is often difficult to maintain one's composure when times are difficult, and this phrase describes the inner strength a person needs to have.
