Chicago & New Mexico - in Black & White

Reply Tue 23 May, 2006 10:19 am
Since I've been for the very first time to the USA, I took a lot of photos (actually 4.4 GB on my Nikon D 200).

I used my Nikon F 80 (N 80) to take some of the motifs in black & white.
(Lenses [same as on the D 200]: Sigma 28 - 70, f: 2.8; Sigma 70 - 200, f: 2.8; Sigma 17 - 35, f: 2.8 - 4. Film: Ilford HP5 plus 400. Scanned with Plustek 7200 filmscanner)

I'm starting in Chicago, with a view from my hotel room.
The later photos are more downtown.

Excellent, Walter. I especially like the first one of the Sears Tower.

Thanks, Walter!

There is a certain "effect" in black & white photos, different than color photos.

Your b/w's of the water tower are really great!

What is the indoor marbled and columned lobby area? It looks so familiar...

Walter, did you visit the Museum of Science and Industry or the Museum of
Natural History?

By the way, what Hotel were you staying in, while in Chicago?
