Salve, I am stitching Latin into a quilt for my niece's high school graduation gift. Appropriately, I am using lines from Proba's Virgilian cento--a patchwork poem of lines from Virgil. I cannot find lines 29 to 32 from cento Probae in Latin and was wondering if you would be so kind as to translate them back into Latin for me:
O Father, O everlasting power over humans and universe,
grant me smooth sailing and come into my heart,
draw near and accompany me on the difficult journey I have undertaken.
Thank you.
O pater, o hominum rerum aeterna potestas,
da facilem cursum atque animis inlabere nostris,
tuque ades inceptumque una decurre laborem,
nate, patris summi vigor et caelestis origo
