Like dag, I've never been on abuzz, so I don't have any comparison,
however, with only 121 posts in 2 years time, you probably should
give a2k more time, shapeless.

You know, Abuzz had it's moments. Rather like the moment our country is having now that President Bush has shown us his bold new vision for victory in Iraq!

The original Abuzz that I joined was superb, and I do miss it. Earlier, I was downing the shipwreck that it became. I liked the grouping by cities, topics, etc. And, some special folks who didn't cross over when A2K came along to fill the deepening void. I wonder about them. Some threads I put on disk to keep the experience alive. It was my first exposure to online forums.

I remember breaking on the scene at abuzz, it was under a different name, since I was banned multiple times before settling on "Slappy Doo Hoo." One of my first questions, asked if I applied for a job to be a little league coach, whether they do background checks.

There were some funny threads on abuzz, that dude skwerl cracked me up...good times.

Then of course there were the imposter douchebags which ruined the site.

And the psychotwats that posted pages and pages of random text and line breaks when they wanted to kill a thread. Are we sure they aint still around? Maybe their just a bit more housebroken, like Slappy.

There's three of you in cahoots to do this...like the Ted Kennedy schtick that the loony right are doing all over the place....isn't there?

I liked Skewrl, but I had to shoot him.

There's Ted Kennedy bashing going on? The guy and his family are a walking disaster. Why am I missing out on the fun?

Speaking of disasters, that puts me in mind of what Iraq could have become without our President's, that Great Helmsman of our ship of state, fearless charting of a clear course to victory in Iraq!

And I suppose you have a better idea? Keep hitting yourself in the head, you might come up with something.

I know just what you mean. It's like the way the enemies of democracy have been hitting themselves in the head time and again in their fruitless efforts to defeat our President's vision of democracy through victory in Iraq!

Old? Age does not imply incapacity. Take democracy, for example. It's been around for centuries, but recently it has been resurgent, thanks to our great President's bold plan for victory in Iraq! Freedom is on the march!
