We seem to have forgotten about the dangers of overpopulation. Paul Ehrlich, in his far seeing book, "The Population Bomb, warned us nearly forty years ago that "the battle to feed all of humanity is over, In the 1970's the world will undergo famines-hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked on now". Ehrlich again warned us in 1990 in his book "The Population Explosion" that "One thing seems safe to predict: starvation and epidemic disease will raise the death rates over most of the planet near the beginning of the twenty-first century."
Although this has not yet occurred, can anyone doubt that disaster based on overpopulation and insufficient food supply is inevitable during this century?
