What the difference between feeled and felt, dreamed and dreamt, etc?

Is one of them the British and another American English? Razz

Thanks!

There is no such word as 'feeled.' The past tense of 'feel' is always 'felt.' As to 'dreamed' and 'dreamt', both are acceptable, but the former tends to be more of an Americanism, the latter a Britishism. (BTW, 'dreamt' is the only word in the English language that ends with those particular letters -- mt. It's a great bit of trivia lore.)
