This is mainly sad to me..

what is the deal, you don't like her?

Im not so sure she was 'drunk'

I think she is tired of being slammed on tv/radio/news for being HER essentially and she was just playing up to the b/s that gets put in her face.

I think she was tired, and bored..

but then, im trying to only think the best and not believe she is lost in alcohol so bad that she cant even put it down for public shows..

who knows..

No idea about her drinking problem, but too much attention for far too long seems to do some strange things to some people who are already-damaged psychologically.

I don't know for sure, but she does seem to be a sensitive type of lady who is in the wrong business due to her fragility. If this theory is true, I hope she gets help soon if she hasn't done so already.

On the other hand, it is certainly good PR for the entire show to play up everything and anything - even if made up.

She didn't LOOK drunk.

I doubt that this appearance is anything close to the James Brown interview while he's high. Anyone see that?

I definitely thought she was wasted on the Idol episode where she starting sobbing after Elliot(?)'s song.

I mean, seriously. And Simon looked appalled.

I can't figure her out -- she is seems to be but I dont think that she is. My friends says that her and Simone have hooked up before...I have not heard this rumor, have you?

There is speculation that she is addicted to prescription pain killers. It would appear that way on some Idols.

I was sorta hoping for a complete out-n-out trainwreck of a breakdown from her during the whole Elvis tribute.

I'm mildly disappointed.

Apparently (according to scuttlebutt), she's on meds and she does drink and she hates simon and she and ryan seacrest are feuding (she won't even acknowledge him off-camera)... she's certainly having problems right now. Does she even have a music career anymore?

I don't watch the show because the 5 minutes I did watch were too painful to repeat, but it's all over the tabloids at the local supermarket. If they aren't talking about Brit Spears being pregnant again or Denise Richards boffing Heather Locklear's ex, then it's about Paula.

I feel a little sorry for people who embarrass themselves in front of others (esp so many!). She obviously has problems of some type and it's best for everyone if she stays out of the limelight until dealt with.

I think they all hate each other. I heard bits and pieces from an interview
with Simon and he was blasting Ryan Seacrest as having the biggest
ego of them all and if Ryan ever gets married then only to himself.
Unfortunately, I didn't hear what he had to say about Paula and Randy.
