Hello, I already posted a question related to the material of glass but this time I'd like to ask the native speakers how they would describe the sound of breaking glass.
e.g. if a little glass object gets broken how would you describe that, is it a "ching" or "ting or "cling"? How about making it more complicated and instead of breaking the thing, make it just have a crack, a tiny one let's say ? Would the sound be fainter? I'm really suffering here Shocked thanks, all.

a drinking glass or similar size object sounds like "tinkle" to me. especially if something delicate, like a champagne glass.

a crack would sound like "ping"
