"made of" versus "made from"

Hello, I am working on a story and I would like to know whether one can say "her heart was made of glass" or does one better say "she had a glass heart". It's not really meant to be in the poetic way, like he had a heart of stone but the idea is that this person has a heart which is really of glass and therefore can be broken/ is very fragile. Thanks,

I'd advise the first expression, "her heart was made of glass," if the intent were to suggest it were easily broken. "She had a glass heart" does not, to my mind, immediately convey the same meaning.

Hello TS

It may be worth remembering that there's a well-known song called "Heart of Glass".

So the idea may not be unfamiliar to your readers.
