@msolga,
The Puerto Rican has his deep fryer out, today he will be making fried chicken, green beans with bacon, mashed potatoes with white gravy and buttermilk biscuits.

@farmerman,
I'm gonna do thanksgiving on Halloween.

to see if I can make dressing with fake bread. and funny cornbread...

if it works, I will do it again for gram on the real day.

I'm just gonna do a breast, I think. enough to make some gravy. I only really like the white meat anyway.

I'm a poultry bigot.

@farmerman,
Nice.

~~~
I've got a dozen eggs in the fridge that have to be used up so I'm going to make up a couple of quiches for tonight's dinner. I'll make a salad, too, and if I get off this computer and get to the bake shop right away, we'll have some fresh bread to go with it.
The Puerto Ricans fried chicken came out wonderful, first he slow baked it then it was breaded and put in the deep fryer so it was tender and juicy inside and crispy on the outside, just how I like it. Cool
You just described the Sunday dinners I grew up on. Add iced tea with lemon and fresh mint, and I could be sitting at my mother's table all those years ago. Thank you for prompting such a wonderful memory, jcboy. It means a lot.
@Rockhead,
We’re taking the Queen out to dinner tonight. Going to Flemings in Tampa. She complains about this restaurant and I will cut her head off!
Had a fabu lunch at Canyon Creek. Trying to think of something that will meet the challenge of tasting good after a CC meal.
@ehBeth,
The Puerto Rican was going to cook tonight but he worked a little late and I didn’t take anything out so I ordered a pizza, hot wings and a salad.
@jcboy,
Oh and I bought a key lime pie for dessert. I’m sure I could make one but I didn’t have the time.
I just woke up from a nap and since we didn’t have our family dinner out last night the three of us are going out tonight, and it’s going to be Sushi!
After writing out the recipe for turkey & bean soup in the soft food thread I think I'll make it for dinner.
