Popeye's chicken.

eoe cooked it, and, might I add, not only was the chicken delicious, but eoe proved to be a most gracious hostess.

Afterwards we had a glass of wine and danced to the slow pulsating music of the legendary Oma and the Oompahs until we were both worked into a feverish state and raced to the bedroom, the tuba still pounding in our ears.

eoe proved to be as masterful in the bedroom as she was at cooking Popeye's chicken.

It was a night I shall not soon forget.

For those of you not familiar with Oma and the Oompahs and their intoxicating music....

Even if eoe and I had not orginally planned to fornicate, the music soon dictated our actions.

I love Popeye's chicken. I'm not sure that I love it as much as Gus and eoe love it, but ..... perhaps.

Dinner tonight: Chicken Cool and linguine with homemade pesto and sundried tomatoes, a side salad, and pinot grigio.

I cooked littlek's soup (k's dinner a few pages back) tonight, with a couple of changes. I added one potato (diced very small) along with the stock. (I wanted a slightly more substantial meal, it being very chilly in these parts!) ... & I swapped the chard for spinach, because I happened to have some in the fridge, just waiting to be cooked. Anyway, it was yummy! Thanks for the recipe, k!

Glad you liked it MsOlga! I plan to use spinach next time. I just happened to have chard last time.

Tonight it's chopped grape tomatoes with fresh herbs and feta, tossed with olive oil. I didn't buy bagette, so I am using a totilla to eat it (messy!). May switch to corn chips.

That's one of the fastest soups I've ever made, k. And delicious!

Yep, chard & spinach are inter-changeable .... Whatever's on hand at the time..

Tonight (suffering from another bloody cold! Evil or Very Mad ) I'm still in a soupy sort of mood, so it's pea & smoked ham soup with other bits & pieces thrown in at my whim. It's looking like potato close to the end of cooking & a good handful of spinach at the very last minute. (Gotta get rid of it before it goes off!)

Can you believe this? Still more soup! I'm absolutely craving the stuff! This week I've indulged in the remains of little k's soup from the previous week, then a chicken & many splendid veg variety I cooked ... & today I'm making a sort of Scotch broth which I keep adding vegetables to at my whim ... It's gonna be a whopper!
This soup thing may have something to do with the very cold weather here (winter has definitely arrived!) & my persistent cold. Anyway, I don't seem to tire of the stuff. I have a porterhouse steak in the fridge, which I bought yesterday (thinking it was about time for a red meat fix .... Iron & all that ...) but I'm going to have to talk myself into cooking it tonight .... It seems a lot of work to eat a steak when you don't feel a 100%!

So, the rest of you have stopped cooking dinner?

Cold and wet in Sydney (but not as bad as Melbourne), and I've just returned from the tropics!

And I also have a bloody cold.

And...I've lost my appetite! Sheeesh!
I've made a huge vat of chicken soup, with great lumps of chook and lots of vegies, and look like eating that all weekend.

Perhaps a little red meat would help....??

a little red wine certainly would!

Oh, the red wine definitely, margo! Very Happy

Yep, it's soup time!

Red meat for you, or me .... or both of us? <honk, sniffle ....>

Don't you just hate winter? <sigh>

Winter!!! Bah! Humbug!!! Evil or Very Mad

I have some small lamb cutlets that could probably be consumed without too much effort - along with the red wine. Need some little taters! Have some bok choy (or something!)

Raining tonight - so no tennis! Confused

It hasnt rained here for weeks, wish it would though. Crisp frosty mornings to get one on ones toes then cool(ish) sunny days. absolutly perfect working weather.
